From November 3, 2026, the new Labour Market Integration factor rewards 186 high-wage occupations — through Canadian work experience or a qualifying job offer, with no LMIA required. Answer four quick questions and watch your score build.
Each answer feeds your live score on the right.

Points for experience need at least 12 months (1,560 hours) in an eligible high-wage job — full or part-time, and jobs can be combined. Not there yet? Pick “Under 1 yr”.
The “if you earn” lines are a quick self-check built from the national median of $/hr (est.). The official decision looks at the typical pay of your whole occupation, not your personal salary — pick your NOC and we set your real group automatically; the other cards are just what-if comparisons.
Enter your own wage to compare it with your occupation’s typical pay and the national median. This is a reality check only — your wage never changes your points.
Three things decide your points — here’s the logic IRCC published.
IRCC compares what everyone in an occupation typically earns (the median) with the average Canadian wage: at least 2.0× → top group, 1.5–2.0× → medium, 1.3–1.5× → base. It’s about the occupation, not your personal salary — a raise doesn’t move it.
From November 3, 2026 a qualifying offer no longer requires an LMIA. Officers still verify the employer and the genuineness of the offer.
Offer points and experience points don’t stack — IRCC compares them and awards the higher. The whole LMI factor caps at 150 (single) / 140 (with spouse).

Each row is one of the 186 eligible jobs. Median wage is what someone in that job typically earns per hour (our estimate). Wage group is the category the job falls into by default — set by IRCC from that typical pay — and the points show what it’s worth with a qualifying job offer or 12+ months of experience in it.
Earning more than the typical wage shown? You might expect the next or highest category — but the group belongs to the job, not your paycheque, so this table shows the default for everyone in that NOC. The calculator above works out your exact points.
| NOC | Occupation title | Median wage (est. $/hr) | Wage group | Offer pts | Exp. pts |
|---|
Wage figures are indicative estimates for orientation — official level assignments come from IRCC’s list (2023–2025 Job Bank, Labour Force Survey and Census data).
This tool shows your LMI points — but draw cut-offs, program eligibility and document strategy decide the outcome. If anything above leaves you unsure, clear your doubts with a consultation before you rely on an estimate.
